The Power of Connections and Online Presence

September 17, 20243 min read

In a recent interview, I had the pleasure of sitting down with my good friend Jarius, founder of the Black-Owned Market Movement (BOMM). The purpose of our conversation was to shed light on the unique origins of RCLLC Transportation and the pivotal role Jarius played in helping us establish our first online presence.

The Fateful Day

So how did Jarius and I cross paths? It all began at a Shell gas station. As fate would have it, we both happened to be filling up our Chargers. What started as a casual conversation about our mutual appreciation for cars quickly evolved into something more. Jarius, ever the entrepreneur, asked me a simple yet powerful question: "Are you a business owner?"

I replied, "Yes, I am," and handed him my card, not knowing that this interaction would lead to a turning point for my business. From that moment, Jarius introduced me to his platform, the Black-Owned Market Movement, which helps entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country by providing affordable, accessible digital marketing solutions.

The Power of BOMM

Jarius created BOMM with a clear goal in mind: to elevate Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, helping them gain the visibility and recognition they deserve. As someone who had just started my business, I was amazed by how easy and affordable it was to get online with his platform. It was a no-brainer to join BOMM, and it gave me the foundation I needed to expand RCLLC Transportation’s online presence.

The services Jarius provided didn’t stop at just setting up a website. He offered me a comprehensive digital marketing package, tying in social media and SEO optimization that helped my business grow from its humble beginnings.

Why BOMM Matters

One of the things that stood out during our conversation was Jarius' dedication to leveling the playing field for underrepresented communities. His military background taught him the value of hard work and the importance of supporting one another. Through BOMM, he’s helping businesses like mine gain the exposure we need to thrive in competitive industries.

As Jarius mentioned, "It’s not just about being pro-Black; it’s about equalizing opportunities for all entrepreneurs." BOMM is about creating a space where businesses can rise together, regardless of race or background. And while my company caters to a wide range of clients, BOMM played a crucial role in giving me the tools I needed to connect with my community and beyond.

Thanks to BOMM, RCLLC Transportation has been able to reach new heights. One of our more memorable successes came when we provided transportation for an event hosted by a historically Black college in the area. The organizers found us through our BOMM listing, and I had the privilege of taking them to a local soul food restaurant, another business featured on the BOMM platform.

As I look back on where my business started and where it is today, I can't help but feel grateful for the connections I've made along the way. Jarius and BOMM gave me the jumpstart I needed to establish an online presence, and I continue to use the platform to this day.

If you’re an entrepreneur looking to take your business to the next level, I highly recommend checking out BOMM. You can find them online at blkomm.com or search for “Black-Owned Market Movement” on social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
